Baseline privacy policy

Baseline is a private health app used by invitation only. It is a wellness tool, not a medical device, and it does not diagnose.

What Baseline collects

• With your permission, data from your Google Health account: heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, blood oxygen, breathing rate, skin temperature, sleep, steps, distance, activity and exercise, VO₂ max, weight and body fat, and your profile (age, sex, height).
• Information you enter in Baseline yourself, such as body measurements.

How Baseline uses it

Only to show you your own data, compute your scores and trends, and run the features you use in the app. Baseline does not sell data, show ads, or use data for credit, insurance or employment decisions.

Who receives it

• Your data is stored on Baseline's own server.
• If you use the AI coach, the parts of your data needed for your question are sent to OpenAI to write the answer. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models, and Baseline asks OpenAI not to store it.
• Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

Google Health data

Baseline's use and transfer of information received from the Google Health API adheres to the Google Health API Developer and User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You can disconnect Google Health at any time in Baseline's settings. That revokes Baseline's access and lets you delete everything Baseline synced. You can also remove access in your Google Account's security settings. To delete your Baseline account and all of its data, ask the person who invited you.
